Biography
Tenor Jacob Abrahamse is based in Amsterdam and is a member of the Dutch National Opera Studio for the 2026–27 season. He opens the season as Peppe in Pagliacci in Robert Carsen’s production at Dutch National Opera, conducted by Andrea Battistoni.
Recent engagements include The Snake and The Vain Man in Rachel Portman’s The Little Prince with The Dallas Opera and tenor soloist in Haydn’s The Creation with the Peterborough Symphony Orchestra.
An Apprentice Singer at The Santa Fe Opera in 2024 and 2025, he has also appeared with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and Elmer Iseler Singers.
